Next week, asphalt paving starts on Monday with milling on Walnut and on Merchant from 4th St to 5th St. Milling and paving will continue onto St. Mary's Road and Little Rock Road later in the week. 9th Street is to be milled next week with paving to follow.

UPDATE: The precautionary boil water advisory that was issued for Virginia Street and Ridgeway has been lifted.

UPDATED ALERT: PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER ADVISORY: Wednesday, August 6th - There is a 48 hour precautionary boil water advisory for all of Virginia Street and all of Ridgeway. From the Missouri Department of Natural Resources: What is a boil water advisory? A public water system may issue a boil advisory when there is concern that a problem with drinking water may exist, but it has not yet been confirmed. These are most commonly issued for major water main breaks or other low-pressure events where the possibility of contamination intrusion exists. They may also be issued while waiting for the results of confirmation samples collected for bacteriological analysis, which can take up to two days plus the time required to transport samples to the laboratory. https://www.stegenevieve.gov/page/boil-water-advisoryorder
