Due to localized flooding, the following streets or intersections are currently closed and will be intermittently inaccessible throughout the day depending on continued precipitation. - North Main at Riverview - South Main at South Gabouri (under train trestle). Avoid driving through ponding water. Even shallow water can be dangerous, potentially causing your vehicle to stall or losing control. If you encounter flooded areas, find an alternate route to stay safe.

Dennis Bequette (left) was presented the President’s Award from Tim Geraghty (right) President of Alliance Water Resources, the city’s public works contractor, for Bequette saving a mother and her two daughters from the flood event on April 4, 2025. The presentation was on Monday, April 21, 2025.
Saturday is Drug Take Back day when you can drop off unused prescription medications through two drive by locations: Ste. Genevieve Fire House (550 Pine Dr.) and the Bloomsdale Medical Centre (255 Boderman Ln.) from 9a to 11:30a. Bring them in a baggie, in the bottle, however it works best for you. This is a free event.

Alert - Wednesday, April 16th 8:00 a.m. until approximately 10:00 a.m. Third Street between Washington and Jefferson Street will be closed for asphalt repairs.
The City of Ste. Genevieve will hold an Open House to discuss a proposed Annexation Plan. The event will take place on April 17th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at City Hall located at 165 S 4th Street.
This open house provides an opportunity for community members to learn more about the proposed plan, ask questions, and share feedback. City officials and staff will be on hand to present information and engage in discussions.

ALERT: BOIL WATER ADVISORY: Thursday, April 10, 2025.. There will be a 48 hour Boil Water Advisory for Virginia, Ridgeway, and 8th & 9th north of Washington. From the Missouri Department of Natural Resources: What is a boil water advisory? A public water system may issue a boil water advisory when there is concern that a problem with drinking water may exist, but it has not yet been confirmed. These are most commonly issued for major water main breaks or other low-pressure events where the possibility of contamination intrusion exists. The results are in about ridership on the Ste. Genevieve-Modoc Ferry.
