Prop S Phase II work is scheduled to begin next week on April 21, weather permitting. This phase includes the installation of new waterlines along LaHaye from N Main to N 6th, Oakwood from Brookdale to Brookdale, and N 6th from Jefferson to Washington, with construction expected to take approximately four to five months. Work will begin on LaHaye at the intersection with N 4th and proceed west toward N 6th. After the new waterline is fully installed and all service connections are completed, LaHaye from Wilder to N Main will be milled and resurfaced with new asphalt, with paving currently anticipated to begin in mid-June. Waterline work on Oakwood & N 6th will begin at a later date yet to be determined.
In addition to LaHaye, Oakwood, and N 6th receiving new waterlines and resurfacing, several other street sections are planned for mill and pave beginning later this summer - see the Projects page on our City website for a map of those streets. More detailed information will be shared as contractor schedules are finalized. Please note that all work is subject to weather delays, and residents are encouraged to use caution and drive safely through active work zones.
