Work began today on St. Mary's Road to construct a new sidewalk from Seraphin Street to Hillside Lane. This project is funded through a 2022 MoDOT Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) grant, with 80% of the cost paid by grant funds. The program’s goal is to expand transportation choices and enhance the transportation experience, with a focus on non-motorized projects such as bicycle and pedestrian facilities. The City of Ste. Genevieve was awarded another TAP grant in 2024 for a sidewalk along S 4th Street; that project will be completed in 2027.
